Meet Katie McCollum
Katie McCollum is a highly accomplished sales leader with extensive experience in B2B sales and worldwide enterprise customers. Currently the Strategic Sales & Leadership Advisor at CBK Advising, she works closely with clients to align their goals and objectives. With a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Minor in Business Administration from the University of North Florida, Katie started her sales career selling copiers for Xerox before transitioning to the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry at Paychex. During her decade at Paychex, Katie quickly rose through the ranks from a top-performing individual contributor (IC) to leadership, where she grew the Jacksonville market and created a winning culture. She then gained experience in the start-up world selling to worldwide enterprise customers as an IC, rounding out her experience by building talent strategy and recruiting enterprise sales professionals for tech start-ups.
Katie is a polished public speaker, having received training in Situational Leadership, Franklin Covey Training - Qualifying Opportunities, and MEDDPIC (a technical sales process). In 2015, she was awarded Team Jacksonville “Slugger of the Year” for her outstanding sales performance, mentoring others, and helping to create a positive winning culture. Then in 2016, she was nominated for the inaugural APOLLO Leadership Program at Paychex and upon completion was promoted to leadership. She is a five-time Paychex Circle of Excellence recipient; this is awarded to the top 1% out of 800+ sales reps. She also ranked top 50 in the nation for sales performance. As a leader, she achieved top 20 District Sales Manager (DSM) out of 125 leaders.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Brad McCollum, and loved ones. As a Jacksonville native she loves boating on the river, enjoying local spots in the community, or rooting for her home team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Focused on giving back, she is an International Collegiate Sales Competition Judge and has sponsored the FSU Sales Program. In 2019-2021, she founded the South-Central Leadership Exploration Program to develop high potential talent (ICs) and prepare them to be future leaders. Katie also has volunteered with SCORE and the Small Business Resource Network. Her passion to help others achieve their highest potential drives her each day to always do her best.
Because of her passion, 7 years of one-on-one coaching from Karen Nutter, and her innate desire to be an authentic person it is a natural fit that she would join the CBK Advising team. Katie is certified in Behaviors®, Driving Forces®, and as an Emotional Intelligence Analyst® and everyday continues to help everyone in her path to find this type of synergy. She does this through Mastermind facilitation, one-on-one sales coaching, and corporate team development.
